Robert K. Weiser, M.D., F.A.C.S
Dr. Weiser is a fellowship trained vascular surgeon with over 25 years of experience providing patients with comprehensive medical, cosmetic and surgical vascular treatments. He is a board certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After receiving his M.D. degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he completed his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Weiser specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all artery and vein conditions. His operative experience of arterial and venous disease is extensive and he has frequently diagnosed and successfully treated many patients’ vascular conditions which have not responded to treatment elsewhere.
He has extensive experience in treating venous disorders ranging from tiny spider veins to large, bulging varicose veins. Dr. Weiser is uniquely qualified to offer an extensive variety of treatments to meet the individual needs of the patient. These include state of the art ultrasound equipment dedicated explicitly to vein evaluations, sclerotherapy, phlebectomy, and endovenous ablation.
He is highly experienced and proficient in laser ablation, which is a minimally invasive procedure that has replaced the traditional treatment of surgical vein removal. The ablation is performed in the office under local anesthesia, without incisions, and requires minor recuperative time. The laser and sclerotherapy techniques employed by Dr. Weiser provide rapid relief of varicose vein symptoms and outstanding cosmetic results.
Dr. Weiser maintains an active academic affiliation as a clinical assistant professor of surgery. He educates and trains resident and student physicians and has been recognized by New York Magazine, as one of the top vascular doctors in New York. He has been a Castle Connolly recognized vascular specialist for more than fifteen years consecutively.
